The Washington Times has an article about
Capital Bikeshare and its success causing its own problems. The article argues that the program is crippled by a lack of bikes when people want them and the particularly frustrating problem of a lack of spots to return a bike when you're done (and on the clock).
The article quotes an anonymous source saying a
Living Social deal to join
the bikeshare program really crippled them because it led to a massive influx of new users they couldn't handle.
Check out the full article
here, which also talks about the camaraderie among
bikeshare users. It's worth a read.
