The Chinatown Arch

Streets of Washington has done a piece on the Chinatown arch that has become an icon and a landmark in our neighborhood.

The arch was constructed in 1986, and was said at the time to the be largest in the world.

The piece talks about the history of Chinatown and how it came to be, as well as about the arch.

Definitely worth the read; it is available here.
