Every year the streets of Penn Quarter are taken over -- by horses. F Street (between 6th and 7th) and 6th Street (between F and G) are closed down to make temporary horse stables for the Washington International Horse Show that takes place at the Verizon Center.
This year is no exception, and the horse show will be October 25th through 30th. They will probably start setting up and closing off the streets a couple days before that.
