Living Social's Expansion Makes Penn Quarter "Silicon Hill"

Neighbor (and frequent singers at Hill Country's Rock n' Twang Karaoke night) Living Social has been profiled in this month's Inc. magazine's "World's Coolest Offices" column.  It's not the first time the space has gotten national attention - we reported back in July when The Atlantic did a feature on it also.  And the press is with good reason.  The offices have skeeball, games, places for bikes and informal meeting areas in the 26,000 square foot, seven story building.  Architecture and history aficionados will be pleased to know that despite all the bells and whistles, the historical aspects of the building were kept - antique doors, exposed columns and exposed brick.

These nifty new offices at 918 F Street are flanked by Facebook, Groupon, and Google - prompting DC blogger UrbanTurf to rename Penn Quarter "Silicon Hill."  We like the sound of it.
