Bank robbed in Penn Quarter, FBI still looking for female suspect

Last Thursday at 2:30 p.m., Independence Federal Savings Bank at 1006 E Street N.W. was robbed by a suspect who took an undetermined amount of money and fled on foot.

The Washington Examiner reports that police are still looking for the suspect.  She is a white or Hispanic female, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 140 pounds, and about 40 years old.  Here is her picture:

At the time of the robbery, she was wearing a white National Mall T-shirt and khaki pants, while carrying a white canvas bag.

She is considered armed and dangerous and the FBI is asking that you call Special Agent John Dunham at 202-278-2000 if you know anything about who she is or her whereabouts.
