DC Culinary Kitchen Graduation

Take a late lunch today and head over to the Navy Memorial, to congratulate the 87th culinary job training class to come out of DC Central Kitchen.

We've long been supporters of DC Central Kitchen, and here's why:  In 2010 for example, 77% of a 92 person class were ex-offenders.  After the 14 week program, they achieved these pretty significant milestones:

• 90% job placement rate upon graduation
• 73% job retention rate after six months of employment
• Over $11/hour average starting wage
• $285,000 in payroll taxes were contributed back to the community by the graduates

There's a reception at 2pm and a ceremony at 2:30pm.  They'd love to have you!
