Mayor Gray's proposal to keep bars open until 3a on weekdays and 4a on weekends has been met with some opposition - but now there's a compromise on the table: keep the hours the same, but allow Sunday liquor sales. The idea comes from
Councilmember Jim Graham (D-Ward 1) and would generate an estimated $710,000 in sales tax revenue for the city. Notably, this pales in comparison to the estimated 3.2 million the city would get by keeping bars open until 4a, which in turn is dwarfed by the city's 2013 172 million dollar deficit.

This would be in conjunction with the
new allowance to start boozy-brunches at 8a. Cheers!
