The Washington Post reports that the Normal Rockwell exhibit, which displays works by the artists from the private collections of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, has been so successful that attendance at the museum has increased by 30%.
As a result, the good people at the National Portrait Gallery, where the exhibit is being displayed, are extending their hours for the upcoming holidays. Of course, the Gallery is already open until 7:00pm--some two hours later than most museums in the area--so they will be opening earlier than usual to accommodate the crowds.
The hours will be as follows:
Thanksgiving Weekend (November 26-28):
10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Christmas/New Year's Holiday (December 26 - January 2)
10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
