Teaism Carrotmobbed

You may have seen our previous post on the planned carrotmobbing of Teaism on 8th Street.

Teaism was rewarded by using the carrot not the stick on Saturday morning with a carrotmobbing.

There were about 100 people in attendance, and Teaism gave coupons to those who arrived first.

"The event really brought awareness about the Paid Sick Days law as well as those workers who are currently excluded," Courtney Chappell, the Director of Advocacy for the D.C. Employment Justice Center, told PQ Insider.

Tommy Wells gave the Golden Carrot Award.
Ward 6 Councilman Tommy Wells was in attendance, and he gave the Golden Carrot Award to Teaism owners Michelle Brown and Linda Neumann.
