Despite anything being worth a free slurpee, 7-eleven went all out.
In the old convention center parking lot, a huge stage was set up for Blues Traveler and five slurpee trucks dispensed free slurpees for all. The slurpees were, of course, red, white, and blue. There also gave away free t-shirts and other small items.
There were ice sculptures of slurpees in the parking lot:
Even President Obama was there! Sorta . . .
