Merzi closed early

Merzi empty after it closed early last night

Last night shortly before 8:00 p.m., PQ Insider stopped by Merzi only to find it had closed for the night.

Why?  They ran out of food.

"This wasn't like Baltimore," a Merzi employee told PQ Insider, "Baltimore was busy, but nothing like Penn Quarter."

Apparently the lunch and early dinner rush cleaned Merzi out.

Because of that, the employee told PQ Insider that they would be giving out free Mango-Fantangos today.  A mango-fantango is a drink with mango, milk, and cane sugar.

Looks like a good start for Merzi!  Little did they know how ravenous Penn Quarter residents can be.
