After being turned away on opening night, PQ Insider finally tried Merzi.
The staff was delightful and the food was good. Surprisingly good.
The set up is exactly like Chipotle, but with Indian food instead of Mexican:
You pick your base, you pick your meat, and you pick the sauce to go on top (previous post about the ordering process). And if you come up with a mixture that won't turn out well in the end, the staff will tell you. "I think you should try a different sauce," one server told PQ Insider.
The food was very good and reasonably priced. Once you start eating (and if you can ignore the cardboard you're eating off of), you forget it's fast food:
