14th Street Bridge construction enters new phase

For those of you that reverse-commute to Virginia, or find yourself driving out there for errands and things (since we have no grocery store), be aware of the 14th Street Bridge construction which has now entered its 7th (of 8) phase.   The "island" construction will cause a few headaches.

The center lanes will be closed right at the split between the 14th Street Bridge and I-395 as you enter D.C.  This means you should stay to the right if you're going to come in at the 12th Street exit (or L'Enfant Plaza) and stay to the left if you want to take the 14th Street Bridge.

This pattern will be in place for six weeks, and the construction will be complete in 12 weeks.
