Capital Bikeshare public meeting

Capital Bikeshare is rapidly expanding and, as you can imagine, Penn Quarter is a hot spot for bike locations.

This summer, Capital Bikeshare will be adding many locations in Penn Quarter, and the Transportation Department is having a public meeting to gather input about the expansion and their locations.  The expansion city-wide will consist of 25 new stations and 250 new bikes.

At the meeting, DDOT officials will provide an update on the expansion plan, explain the process for evaluating new stations, share the feedback that has been received from the community about the potential locations for new stations, and solicit additional feedback from the participants.

The meeting will be on Wednesday May, 25 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the D.C. government building at 441 4th Street N.W. (Room 1107).

Below are the current bikeshare stations (in red) and those proposed in our area (in white):
