Mayor Gray "Opens" The Hamilton

Even though The Hamilton opened before the holidays, Mayor Vince Gray was on hand today to "officially" open Penn Quarter's 24/7 music and culinary destination.

According to Gray, The Hamilton brought 380 jobs to the District through Gray's "One City One Hire" initiative.  The initiative provides wage subsidies, tax-incentives and job training to DC businesses when they add DC residents to their personnel rosters.

The ribbon cutting took place in The Hamilton's downstairs music venue:
