MLK, Jr. Day of Service

Today is probably your first day back at work after the long holiday stretch, and we bet you're already counting down the days to your next day off.  You'll be happy to know it's probably less than two weeks away: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is January 16th.

This year, Serve DC (the Mayor's office on volunteerism) is asking that you get involved in the MLK Day of Service and "make it a Day On, not a Day Off."  In that vein, they will be partnering with We Feed Our People from 11am to 3pm on Monday, January 16th to serve the homeless.  Appropriately, (and conveniently for you), the event will be taking place in front of the MLK Jr. Memorial Library.

G Street will be closed between 9th and 10th Streets from 6am to 5pm due to the heavy pedestrian traffic.  The library will also be closed due to the holiday.

If you'd like to help serve, please sign up here.
