Update on Last Week's Kidnapping & Assault

NBC4 has a report this morning on last week's horrific kidnapping and sexual assault that occurred at 7th and F NW.  Police now believe the attack may not have been random.

The report indicates that the victim had just left a child custody hearing with her 15 month old son (who was in the car during the entire ordeal).  News4 sources say that the attacker "said things that indicated he was familiar with her child custody agreement."

The assailant has not yet been caught.  We do know that he was driving a car with Ohio license plates.  Again - if you were in the area last Thursday around 7:30 PM and saw anything suspicious, please call the police at (202) 727-9099 or (888) 919-CRIME, or text the tip line at 50411.
