Fast food mediterranean coming to Penn Quarter

In the old Organic-To-Go space at 13th and F Streets N.W., a new quick-service mediterranean restaurant called Roti is coming.

Roti currently has two locations in Washington and is opening three more in the near future.

The concept is similar to Chipotle and Merzi:
  • You pick your base
    • sandwich
    • salad
    • mediterranean plate
  • Then you pick your "meat"
    • chicken roti
    • chicken kabob
    • steak roti
    • steak kabob
    • falafel
    • roasted vegetables
  • Then you pick your toppings
    • hummus
    • vegetables
    • feta cheese
    • etc. (lots of things!)
  • Then you pick your sauce
    • dill
    • yogurt & cucumber
    • tahini
    • red pepper aioli
    • zhug
  • Then you're done!
They also have several menu options that are already made for you if you aren't feeling creative.  You can see the full menu here.

The Washington Business Journal reports the restaurant will be two stories, and Douglas Development's twitter feed confirms the restaurant is taking the space.
