Last week, the Washington Post reports, a museum-visitor to the National Gallery of Art's Gauguin exhibit was less than pleased with one of the paintings.
The woman last week shouted "This is evil" at the painting shown to the left entitled Two Tahitian Women and started pounding it with her fists.
The exhibit came to Washington after a tour at the Tate Modern in London, and the painting belongs to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
There was no visible damage to the painting immediately following the incident, but officials are taking a closer look. The woman was tackled by another museum visitor before being taken into custody by the Federal Protective Service.
