The Washington Post is reporting that 701 Restaurant (701 Pennsylvania Ave N.W.) is celebrating its 20th anniversary with three deals and offerings that last all month:
- A three-course $20 lunch that includes menu items such as: chestnut-and-mushroom soup with quince and tarragon; house-made pork-and-cheddar sausage with beer-braised cabbage; and mocha crème brûlée.
- A lemon poppy seed birthday cake with saffron citrus salad from Pastry Chef Melanie Parker.
- A $20 "big 20" cocktail that can serve two.
