Penn Quarter Deals and Rewards Programs

Who doesn't love a good bargain?  For those who live or work in Penn Quarter, a lot of our neighborhood restaurants have loyalty programs.  These programs might work to your advantage, especially if you already regularly eat at these restaurants anyway.

Here is a sampling of the programs available to you:

Austin Grill

The Deal: 1 point for each dollar spent; $15 reward for 100 points earned.  You also get invitations to special events, a birthday present, and double-points promotions.

Gordon Biersch

The Deal: This program costs $20 to join, but you get a $20 gift certificate in the mail about a month after joining.  You then get 1 point for each dollar spent.  The points differ based on how many you want to redeem, but 350 points gets you a $25 gift card.   You also get moved to the top of the waitlist, a birthday present, and other promotions.

The Deal: Bruegger's offers a bottomless mug that you can buy (or you can simply get a card or keychain card) that gets you free coffee (hot or iced), tea, and soft drinks for the entire year.  This can save you a lot of money if you use it often.

California Tortilla

The Deal: 1 point for each dollar spent; 50 points gets you $5 burrito bucks.

More after the jump . . .

The Deal: Pick up a punch card and after you buy 10 wraps or salads, you get one free.  However, the above link indicates certain New York locations have a new swipe-card system, so that is probably coming to D.C. in the future.

The Deal: A special gift for joining, a birthday present, an anniversary (of joining the club) present.

Smoothie King

The Deal: A free smoothie, 15% savings on all nutritional products all the time, 20% off the first Tuesday of every month.

Bar Louie

The Deal: They are rolling out this loyalty program this month to start 2011 with a bang, but haven't released any details yet.  We'll keep you posted.

District Chophouse

The Deal: Join their wine club (complimentary) and get invited to wine tastings and dinners.  Through 2010, members also received 50% off bottles on Sundays (everyone gets that on select bottles on Monday).  No word on if that program will continue through 2011.

Greene Turtle

The Deal: Sign up and get what they call "exclusive eClub offers" as well as "the latest buzz" (read: spam).

The Deal: Get a Cosi card and get free rewards after 10 qualifying purchases.  The rewards then vary based on your number of purchases, but include free sandwiches, salads, coffee, etc.

The Deal: A free order of chips and salsa just for signing up.  Then you get rewards based on how much you spend there, which vary but include free menu items.
