D.C. Library hosting an evening of street art and jazz tonight

Tonight, the Martin Luther King Memorial Library will be hosting an event entitled Street Art and Jazz: Celebrate Community and King's Legacy.

The event is being labeled a "community reception" with a showcase of Martin Luther King-inspired images that were submitted through Flickr and a youth activist photography exhibit.

The event will also include a jazz concert featuring music from King's era with singer Akua Allrich and bassist Herman Burney.

There will be light refreshments and the event will last from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
