Yes, that's an empty lot. Daisuke Utagawa will be building a building there and hopes to introduce bowls of authentic Japanese noodles.
Utagawa is partnering with Yama Jewayni, the proprietor of 18th Street Lounge. The venue is expected to open this time next year.
Soon 6th street will be the new 7th street - with this noodles restaurant right next to Mike Isabella's Graffiato on a block that needs the sprucing up:
