Virgil's Real BBQ looking for space in Penn Quarter

The Washington Post reports that Virgil's Real Barbecue is looking for space in Penn Quarter.

Virgil's is of the same ownership as Carmine's.  I guess they have come to realize the inevitable success of good food in Penn Quarter.

We imagine Virgil and Hill Country BBQ will be competitors - in the same neighborhood here, and they both come from New York.

Odd to see so many New York barbecue places.  New York is known for a lot of things, but barbecue isn't one.

After many delays, Hill Country could open as soon as March.  That is a big could though, and we have heard these rumors before.
