Here is a picture of what the inside of a Paul Bakery looks like. Many of the U.S. locations are in malls, so this might be the best one. This is what is taking the former Daqua (and before that, Signatures (by Jack Abramoff)) space in Market Square at 9th and Pennsylvania.
The press release from the bakery suggests a January 2011 opening, but that did not happen.
It will be interesting to see what the reaction from the neighborhood is. It will be nice to have a Paul; however, it doesn't really fit the Pennsylvania Ave location almost exactly between the Capitol and the White House that has characterized that area. But maybe Paul will become the new lobbyist hangout?
