Lions, Tigers, and Bears - oh my!

NBC Washington reports there have been several sightings of a Mountain Lion in Northwest D.C.

Sightings of the animal have dated back to February, but the latest was seen last Wednesday.  It has been seen all over Northwest D.C., from the woods of Glover Park to just around the beltway.  Everyone who has seen it agrees that it looks like a mountain lion.

Authorities won't confirm that it is a mountain lion, but say they are taking the sightings seriously.  The Humane Society thinks someone might have been keeping the mountain lion as a pet, but let it loose once they couldn't take care of it anymore.
