Vote on Metro station names

We wrote in July about the preference of Metro customers for short station names after Metro signaled a desire to change many of the names last May.

Now the Metro board is considering shortening many of the names and changing some, while perhaps adding subtitles to others.  The Navy-Archives stop, for example, would become the Archives stop with "Navy Mem'l - Penn Quarter" as a subtitle underneath.

We think the stop should be called Penn Quarter with other subtitles, of course, since our neighborhood has so much more to offer.

Our friends at Greater Greater Washington have it all laid out for you, and you can vote on which station names you like better.  Those votes will then be sent to the WMATA board.  Make your voice heard here.
