It's Thursday, so you know what that means - Farmers Market on 8th Street today.
In addition to all the usual produce, goods and wares available, Hill Country will be on hand today with a Chef's demo from 4-5. They'll be cooking up some caramel apple crisp.
Additionally, take a look at FRESHFARM Markets Farmland Feast Auction - proceeds go to all 11 farmers markets in the DC area, education programs and community outreach. FRESHFARM provides economic opportunities for farmers and producers all around our region.
There are some really great auction items - Saturday at The Source, Fresh Mediterranean at Zaytinya, Hello Jaleo! and Ole for Oyamel are some of the local options you could win. All auction packages are dinner for 6 with 3 bottles of wine, except for The Source, which is dim sum brunch for 6.
