If you're a car owner here in the District, tomorrow brings some changes for you.
First - tomorrow begins the enforcement for the red-topped parking meters. These spaces are reserved for people with disabilities, and without the requisite hangtag or plates, you will be ticketed, even if you've paid the meter.
Also - street sweeping season begins tomorrow (indeed, the unofficial start of Spring). Though enforcement doesn't begin until March 12th, be aware that the street sweepers are equipped with "Sweepercam," which will alert DPW Parking Enforcement, who will in turn mail you a $30 ticket. Some of the restrictions have changed from last year - so be sure to check the signs.
