You may recognize the name Red Apron Butchery as a participant in the Penn Quarter Farmer's Market on 8th Street. If you've been missing their delicious meats since the Farmer's Market closed for the season, we have great news for you: the butchery is moving into 709 D St., NW in the fall.
The space is 3,600 square feet, and they will sell all the products you've been buying at the Market and many more. In addition, there will be small breakfast, lunch and dinner menus using the cured meats, sausages and hot dogs the Butchery is famous for - so if you're not great on the grill, this may still be your place.
This is great news for Penn Quarter. Between this, Cowgirl Creamery, Central Liquors, Co Co Sala, and CVS, we are well on our way to a piecemeal grocery store...
