The sign that has been placed there indicates that it has been abolished because of a "major construction project."
No word on what that major construction project is in the heart of Penn Quarter - but we're working on it (let us know if you know).
For now, you can catch the bus at 6th and F Streets N.W., just a block north.
I asked a construction guy and he said its first stage utility work for the Nat. Law Enforcement Memorial Vis Ctr/Museum.
